Land Rover: England's Real Passion

Land Rover are sponsors of rugby at a grassroots level. Our task was to elevate this higher than O2’s sponsorship of the England rugby squad by creating a viral piece that would generate plenty of controversy. Five years on, people were still talking about it. Job done.

What started as a viral film ended up as a TV commercial - shown in its entirety on the BBC’s Football Focus, followed by a two-minute debate. Sky Sports also showed the complete film on their Saturday morning football show, Soccer A.M. This was valuable, free national airtime.

We also supported the film with a microsite and online advertising that people could interact with. While the site no longer exists, the film still continues to attract views and comments online.
